The opening of the National Youth Alpine Championships in down-hill skiing at Nalovardo Ski Centre 18 March was a memorable event. Carola and Kristina set a magic atmosphere by singning a genuine "jojk" (Sami song) and the "Frostälvorna" (the Frost fairies) made a nice dance performance under a clear open sky and a warming sun.

Daniel is also a snow specialist. He is building a snow scene at Nalovardo Ski Centre which must be ready for the National Youth Alpine Championships that will take place here between March 18^th and 24^th. It is a real challenge because it is actually far too warm these days...

For the third year, a Snow Castle has been built at Nalovardo Ski Centre, close to the Ice Climbing Wall.
The Snow Castle, which is the result of a successful cooperation between Snow Magic, the school in Sorsele “Vindelälvsskolan” and the company running the ski centre, Lapplandskåtan AB, is a very popular place for children and their family.

Snow Magic and Sorsele River Hotel organised "Open House" at the snow igloo on Saturday 24 February. It was meant to be a local event to inform inhabitants about Snow Magic, the igloo, how it is built and used, but we had even visitors from Japan and Switzerland.
Visitors could enjoy to drink in ice glasses and taste delicious typical arctic toasts while admiring a slide show of photos from the different Snow Magic creations and activities.
